Components:  The national beverage of Paraguay, yerba mate consists of the dried leaves and stems of a South American rainforest holly.

Overview: With over 196 active compounds, yerba mate is one of the most effective and healing beverages in the world. It has higher polyphenol and antioxidant counts than both green and black tea. Yerba mate boosts the immune system, reduces and attacks mutated cells, destroys bacteria, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol, improves digestion, promotes weight loss, and deters oxidative stress. It contains high amounts of vitamins and minerals including potassium, manganese, phosphorus, sodium, and vitamins A, C, and E.
