Components:  Believed to have originated in China, the sweet orange has been cultivated in nearly every country in the world.

Overview:  The majority of enzymes, flavonoids, and phyto-nutrients are found in the peel of the orange rather than the fruit. The peel contains an abundance of potassium, calcium, copper, magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin A, folate and other B vitamins, and fiber.

Uses:  Dried orange peel is often used in tea blends, and the powdered peel can be used to add a sweet, fizzy flavor to beverages.
