Botanical Name:  Origanum majorana

Components:  A member of the mint family and closely related to oregano, this perennial bears tiny white flowers in the summer. An ancient herb native to the Mediterranean, its green leaves are aromatic and somewhat reminiscent of thyme.

Overview:  Marjoram is an antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral agent. It also improves the cardiovascular and circulatory systems by lowering blood pressure, preventing the buildup of cholesterol, and boosting blood circulation.
