Crisis Rescue International – On a Mission To Save Children
I want share a little about Crisis Rescue International and what I have discovered. Crisis Rescue International is a fully functioning 501-c3 non-profit organization. It was founded by David Farmer and his wife Tammy to help rescue at risk children and victims of human trafficking and sex exploitation in India. Let me say that again – children. These children are beaten, raped and drugged to force them to submit to the brokers, madams, pimps and Johns. We are talking about innocent children as young as eight years old being sold and exploited for sex. Some of these young girls will be used by 18-25 men per day – per day. David shared about little girl that was sold to them at just twenty days old. Today she is almost four and living in one of the homes in India. You will be able to see her on the video that is included with this letter. Crisis Rescue International operates eight homes in India, one in Cambodia, and one in Pakistan. They have begun undercover operations in Thailand and Nepal also to fight the children being trafficked across the borders by flesh dealers. I have seen the works that they are engaged in. Friends it is truly one of the greatest acts of compassion that someone can provide to another. Everyone that serves with Crisis Rescue International receives no financial compensation at all. The funds go directly to provide for the needs of the children. In fact, most of the volunteers use their own money to support the homes. My wife Hollie and I are extremely excited that they have asked us to join this incredible work. We can and will help to raise the much desperately needed support to continue to provide for the over three hundred and seventy-five children in their care. We also hope to be able raise the resources to free the thousands more who still need to be rescued from human trafficking and sexual exploitation in the brothels. The estimates are staggering – there are over fifteen million children enslaved.
After meeting with David, he explained what their needs were. They desperately need our help to continue. He explained that they would like to build a good school, provide more nutritious food, additional clothing, new uniforms and school supplies. Crisis Rescue International not only feeds, houses, clothes and meet the daily needs of these children, they also provide educational opportunities. While they have children in every level of education from early childhood all the way through college. Many young children have grown up in the Crisis Rescue homes and have graduated from college. But David explained that there is a great need for a trades center also to teach jobs skills to those who cannot attend a formal school. He explained that besides the children they rescue from the brothels, babies and small children are getting dropped off at their doors. David shared that they are surviving month to month hopping they can make it each month. This broke my heart as he explained that if we cannot meet the needs of the homes these children would be placed back on the street. After listening and learning about this incredible organization we knew we had to respond. This is what we are going to do. Lone Star Botanicals will donate 10% of all bulk, wholesale, individual, and commercial sales for the next year. We hope this will assist with their immediate needs. We are hoping we will raise enough money to build a school and new housing for the children. This program will be extended as many years as it takes. We will assist in leasing farms that grow organic herbs and spices which we will buy and assist in selling to companies. This will be a great way for the program to continue to receive funds year-round. I have contacted a few companies and they have agreed to buy the products that are grown from the leased farms.
Over the years some of the girls they have rescued have graduated from college and are married with children. David laughs when he says he has grandchildren all over India. Some of these children are now working for the government and hope to fight for the children exploited all over India. I am hoping that we can provide the funds so more can attend college or trade schools. As of now they are spending $19,000.00 per year for education costs. We all know that an education will guarantee them a greater chance of success in their adult life. We have to educate and help change the future for the others as well.
I have attached a video that was made for us to use on social media to show what Crisis Rescue International is about. Please watch it and again thank you. We cannot do this alone; but together we can effect change in the lives of these precious innocent children.
Lone Star Botanicals will dontate 10% of all sales to Crisis Rescue International for the next year.
